Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984, is an actor and comedian known for her dry sense of humor. April Ludgate plays her on Parks and Recreation. After performing improv and sketch comedy on the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza began her first web-based series through The Jeannie Tate Show. Later in her career, she was a part of Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and The World. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington Delaware) is the child of Bernadette Plaza who is an attorney by profession and David Plaza a financial consultant. She is the daughter of Irish, English and Irish while her father was Puerto Rican. Plaza has graduated from an Catholic All-Girls School in 2002. In 2006 from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She served as president of the student body at her high school and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her time as a senior. In 2004 while she was in her second year of college, Plaza had a stroke that resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia and a period of paralysis. She's now completely recovered. Plaza started doing sketches and improv at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater back in 2004. There are three theaters: The Laugh Factory, The Improv and The Laugh Factory in N.Y.C. are all places where she performed stand-up comedy. Plaza has appeared on E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street and The Jeannie Tate Show as Robin Gibney as well as the debut Episode of Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz. In CollegeHumor's Troopers, she performed the role of Princess in an satirical sci-fi creation. Plaza's saxophone debuted in Cassorla Bona Fide, 2014. She first appeared in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings in 2012. In 2016, Plaza appeared on HarmonQuest in the role of Hawaiian Coffee a gnome. The same year she portrayed Aaron Burr In Drunk History as well as Cat Adams in Season 11 of the C.B.S. Criminal Minds. The show's 12th season saw her made a successful comeback in the part. A year later it was revealed that Plaza was to appear on the comedy indie An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
