Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Anna Gunn is an American actress. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a period at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in films and TV shows. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be an actor in handful of TV movies and shows like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was cast in a recurring role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was the character she played on Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn was on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also was a part of a four-part audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The romance that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of life.
